SKD shelter is located in the middle of rice paddy in a quiet village. There is a restaurant selling dog meat and chicken soup breeding dogs behind the restaurant building. It was an illegal operation. Our shelter volunteers filed numerous complaints to the city and  town office. Gimpo City issued a removal order of the illegal 30 cages and the dogs by end of September. Negotiation didn’t go well as the owner was asking for $3500 for the 70 dogs. We managed to get the two out of that hell on the shut down day. One is very trauatized the other puppy is so malnourished with skin issue.
