Who We Are

Our Organization

Save Korean Dogs is a very small activist group and rescue team fighting against the dog meat trade in Korea past ten years. SKD is the first generation advocate for the so called “meat dogs” in Korea. We are a non profit org registered in the city of Gimpo, Korea. SKD operates out of the Sanctuary which is Nami’s house turned into a shelter in early 2016. SKD Sanctuary began its own shelter in Incheon City prior to Gimpo. Nami lives with the dogs. The number of dogs varies from 40 to 100  depending on the rescue.

The board of directors of SKD registered in Korea consists of seven and 100 members (50 local, 50 world wide supporters), Nami Kim, and the two leading rescuers Young Choi, Siun Lee, Lee Woo Seok, BK Zang and Jong Kim. BK and Jong are professional animal transporter. Woo Seok is known as “Doggie Man” in Korea, a big importer of dry food and treats from all over the world. We currently have sixteen active rescue members who are animal rights activists working tirelessly on the ground front line in all over Korea. SKD have a network of rescue teams in various cities all over Korea which had been built over the last ten years since Nami’s full time dedication to the cause.

SAVE KOREAN DOGS USA FOUNDATION, INC. is an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in the United States. Donations are a tax-deductible gift, TAX ID # 83-3653519.
