Nami and the shelter volunteers Young and Yong took in those dogs roaming around the shelter neighbor. When a pup was killed by a hit and run the owner wanted to sell them.  They are a breed called “Barbari”, a native Korean breed known for its small size.

Nami took them all from the neighbor for spay/neuter when the group of volunteers and had them all fixed. Nami refused to return them to the owner when Nami heard the owner saying “I’ve been wanting to remove them but even put together the weight of all the six still  not much of meat. I won’t get much money out of them all.”  Dog traders truck go around the village go for big and heavy ones. Being small size breed saved their lives.
